DearElder.com is set up to make it easier for you to reach your
missionary, but missionaries can not use DearElder.com to write home.
Missionaries currently in the MTC, most domestic missions, and some
foreign missions, get 30 minutes of e-mail time a week to write home. We
suggest that you write your missionaries through us so that when their
P-day comes and they have access to a computer, they are not spending
the whole half hour reading your mail. If they already have your letters
in hand, they can spend that whole time writing home to you!
